The Print is Named!

After much difficult deliberation, Larry Kanfer's vibrant new image, just revealed at our Spring Open House finally has a name:

"Sun Worshippers"

The winning title was submitted by Mary A. of Mahomet. Mary says the title was the first thing that came to her mind because "that's what flowers do." "In fact, " she added,"the pots and people do the same thing."

Of many of his subjects, Larry Kanfer feels that even inanimate objects become animate to him. This title captured that feeling for the artist. Kanfer said, "To me, 'Sun Worshipers' is a positive, energizing image. It draws the viewer onto the balcony and into the fresh air and bright sun . It invites you to join the terrace, the empty clay pot and the flowers and become a sun worshiper along with them."

We would like to thank all of you who joined us at our Spring Open House, and especially those of your who submitted a title for this image. The enthusiastic response was overwhelming, and made it a fun challenge to find the perfect title for the image.
